How To: Upload files to my website  Imprimir este Artigo

Introduction
When it comes to building your website, you must make sure that all the files that you are uploading are within the correct directory in your file manager. This guide will tutor you into exactly where and how you upload files to your website - further information is available with how to upload files to your sub domains.

Step 1)
Navigate to cPanel for the service you wish you would want the website to display - these can be found in your Client Area once logged into your account.

Step 2)
When cPanel has opened you want to navigate to the File Manager icon.

Step 3)
You'll then see a list of folders - should look similar to the one provided below.

  • bin
  • etc
  • logs
  • mail
  • php
  • public_ftp
  • public_html
  • ssl
  • tmp
  • access-logs

Step 4)
You'll need to navigate to public_html as this is the main root directory for your main domain.

Step 5)
Finally once you have navigated into the public_html folder, select the Upload icon - this is were a new tab will open and you'll then be able to select compressed folders for upload or individual files.

Additional Steps
If you are wanting to upload a website file to a sub domain then you are going to want to make sure that you navigate to your sub domain folder, rather than public_html - for example if your sub domain is help.example.com then you should see a folder that is titled help.example.com
